Santiago's mansion had plenty of servants and bodyguards, making it difficult for just anyone to intrude, so there should not be any major issues.
Just after finishing her phone call, Sheena received a message from Elliot confirming the delay in communication.
Elliot sent her pictures of his camp at the border, where he was cooking wild rabbits with Lionel and Logan, providing her assurance.
[Elliot: Honey, there aren’t many flavorful seasonings here on the border. The roasted wild rabbit is very fragrant but not as delicious as you.]
[Elliot: I couldn’t sleep on the second night because I missed you.]
[Elliot: I will try my best to use force to suppress the unrest on this side of the border within a few days. I will come back safely soon, so don't worry.]
Seeing Elliot safe and sound did bring Sheena some relief.
She hoped to resolve Anne's situation before his return so they could enjoy some peaceful family time together.
With that in mind, Sheena freshened up and left the lab, heading to the Lawson Group.
Meanwhile, Anne, who had finished her lunch, took a stroll to the mansion's entrance.
Unlike a few days ago, there were a few more bodyguards stationed there this time. Moreover, they seemed unfamiliar, not like Corey's subordinates.
Anne casually approached, only to be blocked by the guards.
"Ms. Windsor, where are you headed?"
Anne smiled innocently and replied, "I've been cooped up in Mountville for days and thought I'd go out for a stroll, maybe catch up with some old friends from Froania."
The bodyguard expressed understanding, "You're free to go wherever you like, but Ms. Lawson instructed that for your own safety as a guest, please inform her before leaving and have one of our bodyguards with you for protection."
Anne's smile faded. "What's with the strict rules? Is she treating me like a guest or a prisoner?"
The guard bowed respectfully. "Of course, you're a guest."
No matter what she said, the bodyguards responded with official-sounding statements, leaving her frustrated and perplexed.
However, she had no fighting skills and would not stand a chance against the two bodyguards if they followed her.
"Oh well, what a disappointment. I guess I won't go out after all."
Anne pretended to be disappointed and sighed, turning to stroll to a quieter spot in the garden.

The readers' comments on the novel: Wait, She’s a Billionaire (Sheena Lawson)
The novel is too abusive it spoils the joy of reading it. I hate the punishment part between sheena and Eliot....
