Facing the questioning, Barbara quickly regained her composure.
"I originally came to chat with you, but when I knocked and found your room empty, I decided to leave. It's just a coincidence that I saw you coming back."
Barbara's expression was composed as she smiled elegantly, with no trace of the surprise from moments before.
Anne read her expression and asked, "What did you want to talk about? Now that I'm back, we can chat."
"How soon do you plan to start your actions? Corey has been bedridden for the past couple of days due to illness and has been spared from going to the altar room for punishment. But he'll have to go again when he's feeling better in a few days. I'm really anxious and don't want to see him suffering and fainting again," Barbara expressed her concern.
Anne understood her urgency. "Don't worry, I'm already preparing. It'll be within the next few days."
Barbara breathed a sigh of relief. "That's good to hear."
Anne walked past her into the room, but Barbara caught her wrist as they brushed her shoulders.
"I have an idea. With the weather getting warmer, long hair can be bothersome. I'm thinking of getting my hair done. Would you like to join me?" Barbara warmly invited.
"Join you?" Anne repeated.
Barbara smiled. "Yes, I've heard that lighter hair colors are trending these days, and I think you would look great with a new color."
Anne quickly dismissed the suggestions. "If you want to get your hair done, I can accompany you, but I won't be doing mine. I don't enjoy fussing with my hair and think my natural color looks better."
Barbara touched her dark brown curls. "Ms. Windsor, you have lovely hair, but I believe trying a new color would enhance your appearance. Life is about constantly experimenting, and if we go together, it would be boring for you just to watch me."
Anne shook her head, firm in her stance. "I really don't like it. If you're going, I'll tidy up and join you later."
Barbara felt a bit disappointed. "Well, if you're not joining, it's not as fun for me to go alone. I'll just make do for now. I'll check on Corey. If you need anything, feel free to come find me."
"Alright."

The readers' comments on the novel: Wait, She’s a Billionaire (Sheena Lawson)
The novel is too abusive it spoils the joy of reading it. I hate the punishment part between sheena and Eliot....
