There were not many guards left in Mountville that night.
Sheena had transferred many of them in advance, claiming they were needed for a new project elsewhere.
Hence, Paulo and his team encountered little resistance as they made their way up.
With Corey still injured, he could do nothing to stop Anne and Paulo from taking the unconscious Sheena away.
Watching several black vans speed off and disappear into the night, Corey's eyes blazed with fury as he punched the wall.
Barbara hurried over to check if his hand was injured, comforting him softly, "Don't worry, Sheena has planned everything. She knows what she's doing, and everything will be fine. Let's trust her to handle it."
Corey turned to her sternly, his gaze intense as he rebuked, "Nonsense! You know she tends to go overboard, so why are you following her blindly?"
Feeling a bit irked at being scolded after trying to comfort him, Barbara retorted, "Well, at least I'm not ignorant. I know whose side to be on. What about you? If you keep pretending to be clueless, you'll end up alone, with no one willing to acknowledge you."
Corey sighed, speaking with gravity, "With Elliot away on a business trip and his trusted captains gone with him, Nana has lost her biggest support. While Paulo may be restricted in Froania, he's still a nobleman in Ouna. Even if he causes trouble here, Ouna will demand his return for trial. With his influence in Ouna, they'll easily find a scapegoat, and the matter will be settled. Paulo is Anne's support, and without Elliot around, these matters aren't as easily resolved as you think. Nana is helpless."
Barbara listened quietly to his analysis, feeling anxious, but she believed in Sheena.
"Even if Elliot isn't here, doesn't she still have you? You need to be her support. While she may hold grudges, she also remembers kindness. This is your best chance to reconcile with Sheena, dear!"
Corey lowered his gaze, sighing once more and shaking his head.
"Ever since I quit, I've been idle at home for almost a year. I've lost the influence I once had, and my power in Froania can't compare to Elliot's."

The readers' comments on the novel: Wait, She’s a Billionaire (Sheena Lawson)
The novel is too abusive it spoils the joy of reading it. I hate the punishment part between sheena and Eliot....
