Initially, Nathaniel had thought of Mavis as innocent, maybe even a bit gullible, someone he could consider as a marriage prospect just to get the matter over with.
He never expected her to have such a strong character, capable of standing up in such a tough environment.
He felt he had underestimated her.
With a brooding gaze, he turned and left the surveillance room.
Cassie followed and stopped him again.
"You don't even like her. Why do you care so much? It's her choice, and you should respect that."
"F*ck off," Nathaniel snapped.
Cassie was taken aback.
While Nathaniel had been cold toward her since the beginning, he had never cursed at her.
Was he truly angry?
While she was pondering, Nathaniel suddenly grabbed her by the neck, tightening his grip.
Cassie's face turned red as she struggled to pry his hand off.
Nonetheless, her strength was no match for Nathaniel's.
"D-Do you even dare to kill me?"
She was the heiress of the Reynolds Group, and this was the surveillance room of the Flaming Desire.
There were staff nearby, so she was confident Nathaniel would not dare.
Even though Nathaniel could not actually do anything to her in public, it did not stop him from exerting force on Cassie's neck.
He pulled her closer, his eyes filled with malice as he whispered into her ear.
"Don't provoke me. My patience has its limits. People have called me insane, a psychopath, a beast, scum… After all, when I go crazy, I'm truly inhuman. If you want to experience it firsthand, I'm more than willing to make your wish come true."
Though lightly spoken, his words were dripping with coldness, and his sinister gaze made one wonder if he could do so.
However, just a few glances at the look in his eyes were enough to send shivers down their spine.
Nathaniel released Cassie.
She fell to the ground immediately, drained of strength from the fear.
It took her a while to recover from the shock.
Nathaniel was… so terrifying…
On the surveillance screen, Mavis gripped the broken bottle tightly and slashed at the approaching men.
She already injured two of them, and the situation was getting increasingly out of control.

The readers' comments on the novel: Wait, She’s a Billionaire (Sheena Lawson)
The novel is too abusive it spoils the joy of reading it. I hate the punishment part between sheena and Eliot....
