As Mavis let her mind wander, she saw Nathaniel entering the changing room.
He never undressed in front of her.
The bed was soft, and the silk sheets felt smooth against her skin.
Before long, Mavis drifted off into slumber.
When Nathaniel finished drying his hair and entered the bedroom, he noticed that Mavis had kicked off half the covers due to the heat, sleeping without a care in the world as she revealed her slender legs beneath her nightgown.
She slept without a care in the world, her sleeping gown barely covering her legs, pressing the covers down.
Approaching silently, Nathaniel tucked the covers back around Mavis.
However, the cover was tangled around her slender legs, and he accidentally brushed against her smooth skin.
His fingertips paused momentarily, a surge of electricity coursing through him, leaving him dumbfounded.
Despite her unruly sleeping habits, Mavis looked breathtakingly beautiful in her sleep, stirring an unexpected desire within Nathaniel.
He cursed inwardly at himself for actually developing such feelings for Mavis…
Nathaniel frowned, overwhelmed with mixed emotions.
He felt like he had committed a grave mistake, tarnishing his decade-long affection for Sheena.
"Have you forgotten there's a man in this room? How can you sleep so gracelessly? If you encounter a pervert, you'll be in trouble," Nathaniel scolded, his tone icy as he adjusted the covers over Mavis, covering her completely.
However, as he turned away, Mavis, in her deep slumber, once again extended her restless arms out from beneath the covers.
Nathaniel returned to her side again, silently tucking her arms back under the covers.
Suddenly, Mavis shifted in her sleep, her arm naturally wrapping around the back of Nathaniel's neck.
Caught off guard, Nathaniel found himself gently pulled down onto the bed by her, mere inches away from her peaceful sleeping face.
"Foolish woman… Are you pretending to be asleep just to harass me?" Nathaniel muttered under his breath.

The readers' comments on the novel: Wait, She’s a Billionaire (Sheena Lawson)
The novel is too abusive it spoils the joy of reading it. I hate the punishment part between sheena and Eliot....
