Wait, She’s a Billionaire (Sheena Lawson) novel Chapter 1517

On a heavy, rain-soaked night, several armored vehicles sped down the highway.

Elliot gripped his phone tightly, still trying to reach Sheena.

However, the result remained the same: she was still out of the service area.

Lance handed over a GPS screenshot of Sheena's phone's last known location.

Elliot stared at the red dot on the map, desperately hoping to find Sheena there.

"Mr. Jenkins…" Lance glanced at Elliot in the rearview mirror, hesitating.

"Speak," Elliot said.

"For the entire first half of the night, Mrs. Jenkins's phone only came online once. I think something's off. By the time we reach Shrewmont Passageway, there might not be any clues left."

Elliot stayed silent and was visibly tense, signaling his internal struggle.

"Stop wasting time. Contact the border patrol in the Shrewmont area immediately. They can get there in ten minutes. Seal off the entire road. Not even a bird should be able to get out."

"Yes, sir."

Lance drove with one hand and used his Bluetooth headset with the other to relay Elliot's orders to the local authorities.

The rain showed no signs of stopping.

As they neared Shrewmont Passageway, Elliot stared out at the pitch-black, rain-soaked landscape and took a quick sniff of himself.

"Lance, can you smell the smoke on me?"

Lance shook his head.

"Mr. Jenkins, that's a tough one for me. I smoke too, so I'm not sensitive to the smell. I'd say… it doesn't seem any different from earlier today."

It was pointless to ask him then.

The armored vehicles were well-equipped, carrying weapons and emergency supplies.

Elliot opened a wooden crate and took out a set of dark green military leisure outfits. He switched off the light inside the armored vehicle and quickly changed clothes.
