After the playful teasing, Sheena set the breakfast tray on the bedside table and turned to help him up.
"What happened? Were you too tired from work yesterday?"
Elliot shook his head. "My legs fell asleep."
Sheena helped him back to the chair.
Then, she sat on the edge of the bed to massage his legs, easing the circulation that had been restricted from staying in one position for too long.
"Feeling better?"
He nodded.
However, he noticed that the twins were not around and asked, "Where are Asher and Adora?"
"They had breakfast at the lab's cafeteria and went to the small basketball court in the back to play badminton with Yosef and Lionel. Asher needs the exercise after being bedridden for so long."
While Sheena spoke, Elliot stared at her with a smirk.
"Why didn't you go with them?"
"I wanted to check on you, and I haven't even had breakfast yet. Lionel told me you weren't eating properly while I was away."
Elliot frowned, catching the implication in her words.
That bastard Lionel had ratted him out.
Sheena seemed to read his thoughts and poked his forehead, scolding, "Don't even think about giving Lionel a hard time. I asked him to tell me. You really let yourself go, didn't you? You deserve a good smack."
Elliot chuckled, unafraid of her reprimand.
He bent and kissed her soft, fragrant cheek.
Sheena gave him a stern look but could not help feeling a bit helpless.
What else could she do?
She had chosen this man as his lifelong partner, and she would continue caring for him.
She gestured toward the breakfast on the bedside table.
"Eat up. Cold soy milk is bad for your gut. Your irregular habits from before are over. Now that I'm back, we need to fix your routine. If you keep overdrinking, smoking too much, skipping meals, and pulling all-nighters, I'll stop caring and hand you over to Uncle Grant to deal with you according to Jenkins's family rules."
Getting hauled to the altar room meant facing the whip.

The readers' comments on the novel: Wait, She’s a Billionaire (Sheena Lawson)
The novel is too abusive it spoils the joy of reading it. I hate the punishment part between sheena and Eliot....
