Elliot noticed and smirked.
"Nana, what's with the strange look?"
"What's strange about it?"
"It's like you want to devour me."
Sheena was speechless by his remarks, thinking he was too full of himself.
When she fell silent, Elliot began peeling another egg.
His slender fingertips looked elegant, and the prominent veins on the back of his hand up to his sleeve were alluring.
Sheena admired Elliot, but her attention was drawn to him swallowing another whole egg.
She furrowed her brow and could not help asking, "Aren't you worried about choking?"
Elliot paused his chewing, his ears tinged with a hint of red.
He avoided her gaze as he swallowed the egg.
Then, he took a few sips of soy milk before saying, "Nana, do you find it unattractive?"
Sheena was about to respond, but Elliot continued, "Well, it doesn't matter how I look when I eat. What matters most is that I'm better at eating you than eating eggs."
Sheena was left speechless once again.
What a shameless man!
She could not be bothered to entertain him and instead asked seriously, "How's Mrs. Snyder? Did she tell the truth?"
Elliot nodded and replied, "She's actually quite pitiful. Her husband was abusive and an alcoholic. Even after she had their child, he only got worse, beating her and even their son. Ten years ago, when her husband was beating her to the point of bleeding, their son tried to intervene, hitting her husband with a stool. But her husband beat him up so hard that he accidentally killed their son."
Elliot shook his head disapprovingly, then continued, "He was only eight years old and buried on the hilltop. After that, her husband left for the city to be with another woman, and her life was much more peaceful. She had ten gold bars under her bed, stored there for quite some time. Three years ago, she saved a man who later gave her ten gold bars as a reward. This time, she was planning to leave town to buy medicine when she encountered a group of people asking about your whereabouts, and among them, she recognized the man she had saved three years ago. She told him your location and received another bag of gold bars…"
This was a crucial piece of information.
Sheena's expression turned serious as she fell into thought.
Elliot's demeanor mirrored her seriousness as he added, "I suspect the man she saved three years ago was Keaton, the one who has been on the run."

The readers' comments on the novel: Wait, She’s a Billionaire (Sheena Lawson)
The novel is too abusive it spoils the joy of reading it. I hate the punishment part between sheena and Eliot....
