Having anticipated that Keaton would not confess easily, Elliot spoke gravely over the phone, "Continue investigating the Reynolds case. We need indisputable evidence to nail him."
Someone like Keaton would not crack without seeing the evidence firsthand.
Only solid proof could bury him for good.
"Yes, Mr. Jenkins."
After ending the call with Logan, Elliot's expression darkened.
It seemed he would have to confront Keaton again.
…
Night fell.
In another ward in the lab, Elliot leaned against the window, lost in thought.
The door creaked open, and Sheena walked in with a glass of milk.
Noticing his troubled expression, she set the milk down and asked with concern, "What's wrong? Is Keaton refusing to confess, or are you in too much pain? Should I call Yosef?"
The only pressing issue was Keaton.
That cunning guy was likely trying to buy time, hoping his associates would figure out how to get him out.
In front of his wife, Elliot let his guard down.
With an exaggeratedly pained look, he said, "Honey, you have no idea how badly Keaton beat me last night. I'm hurting here and here… I need your comfort…"
Sheena walked over and gently massaged the spots he pointed to, teasingly saying, "Our kids are five years old now, yet you're still so childish. If they hear you talking like this, they'll laugh at you."
Elliot raised an eyebrow, "What's wrong with me being playful with my wife? Who's going to laugh at me?"
With that, he buried his head in her chest and inhaled her comforting scent.
All his worries seemed to vanish instantly.

The readers' comments on the novel: Wait, She’s a Billionaire (Sheena Lawson)
The novel is too abusive it spoils the joy of reading it. I hate the punishment part between sheena and Eliot....
