Wait, She’s a Billionaire (Sheena Lawson) novel Chapter 1719

Sheena waved Asher over and hugged him tightly.

"Yes, sweetie. Daddy and I might need to go on a business trip for a while. You and Adora must listen to Uncle Lionel, okay?"

If they were away, she felt much more at ease leaving the kids with Lionel and Jacintha.

"Will you be away for long?" Asher asked.

Even though he understood they were going on a business trip, he was still a five-year-old who needed his parents.

Understanding his worry, Sheena held him close.

"We won't be gone for more than a week, I promise. Daddy and I will return to be with you as soon as possible."

Asher's face showed a rare glimpse of sadness.

However, the little guy quickly jumped off her lap, trying to be brave.

"Mommy, don't worry. I'll take good care of Adora."

Sheena's heart warmed at his maturity.

Unlike Asher, Adora was a little clingy.

Sheena could already foresee the tantrums when her precious daughter found out they were leaving.

Just thinking about it gave her a headache…

As they chatted, Adora burst in through the door after having returned from her day at the kindergarten, running upstairs.

Seeing the suitcase, she immediately grabbed Sheena's hand.

"Mommy, are you leaving? Is Daddy leaving too? How long will you be gone? Can I come with you?"

Sheena gently stroked Adora's head, feeling a pang of guilt.

"No, Adora. Daddy and I are going to save some people who are in trouble far away. If you come with us, we might get distracted, and it would take longer to finish our task. Plus, it's very hot where we're going, and you don't like the heat, remember?"

"I don't want Daddy and you to leave. Mommy, if you're saving them, what about me? I can't sleep without you holding me," Adora cried.

Sheena had anticipated Adora's reaction and gently picked her up, soothing her with a soft voice.

"Don't worry, sweetie. I'll come back soon. In the meantime, you can stay with Uncle Lionel and Aunt Jacintha, okay? They can take you to the amusement park and the zoo."
