On the other side…
Ever since that day when Mavis sensed someone at her door, she had been feeling uneasy, as if something significant was about to happen.
She could not shake the feeling that there was trouble brewing back home, and she was gnawing on her mind.
Mavis hesitated briefly before texting Tommy.
[Mavis: Tommy, is everything fine back in Froania?]
She carefully avoided mentioning anything about Nathaniel.
It had been many days, and he had not reached out to her first.
She was not about to be the one giving in this time.
Tommy responded swiftly, [Mrs. Nicholls, haven't you seen Mr. Nicholls? He's gone to Gurenchti.]
Mavis froze in disbelief.
H-He came to Gurenchti?
Was it specifically to find her?
But why had she not seen him yet?
Did something happen?
The memory of Nathaniel being shot and jumping into the sea haunted her deeply, and Mavis could not bear to entertain such a possibility again.
With that in mind, she immediately dialed Tommy's number.
"Tommy, is what you said true? Did he really come to Gurenchti?"
Tommy hesitated before firmly replying, "The Nicholls Group keeps records of every private jet's itinerary. Mr. Nicholls has indeed arrived in Gurenchti."
"Okay. Thank you, Tommy."
With this confirmation, Mavis's heart started to race.
Tommy was Nathaniel's personal assistant, and Mavis knew he would not deceive her.
She never imagined Nathaniel would travel across the world just to find her.
She reached into her drawer, grabbed her cosmetics, and headed to the bathroom.

The readers' comments on the novel: Wait, She’s a Billionaire (Sheena Lawson)
The novel is too abusive it spoils the joy of reading it. I hate the punishment part between sheena and Eliot....
