Nathaniel was at the small fishing village where he was last located.
As Nathaniel's assistant, Tommy seemed to have a grasp on the situation.
He sighed and replied, "Mrs. Nicholls, Mr. Nicholls isn't in any danger at the moment, so you don't need to worry. I can't disclose what Mr. Nicholls is currently doing, but he's no longer in Gurenchti."
Having worked at the Nicholls Group for so long, Mavis knew Nathaniel had confidential tasks that could not be shared openly.
Nonetheless, knowing he was safe put her at ease, and she promptly hung up the phone.
Somehow, she felt drained, and she leaned against the wall to steady herself.
The sunset slowly faded outside the window, and night began to fall over Gurenchti.
Mavis sat by the window, lost in thought for a long time.
He had come to Gurenchti, yet he did not even come to visit her.
Even if he had not come for her, Mavis would have felt much better if he had stopped by.
Perhaps living too comfortably here had made her forget the initial hardships.
The sunset was a healing sight, but Mavis's eyes remained lackluster.
Suddenly, she received a message from Yvette.
[Yvette: Mavis, want to have dinner together tonight? Ray is cooking!]
As if she could hear Yvette's cheerful tone, Mavis smiled with a tinge of sadness.
[Mavis: No, it's fine. Enjoy your time together. I have plans tonight.]
After declining Yvette's invitation, Mavis put her phone back in her bag.
She had been here for a long time indeed.
Maybe this was her cue to return home.
No matter how hard she tried to avoid it, some things needed to be faced.
After dinner and returning to her hotel, Mavis thought for a long time before finally calling Sheena.
The time difference between the two countries meant it was morning in Froania. Hence, she would probably not be disturbing Sheena's rest.
"Mae, what's up?"

The readers' comments on the novel: Wait, She’s a Billionaire (Sheena Lawson)
The novel is too abusive it spoils the joy of reading it. I hate the punishment part between sheena and Eliot....
