Asher's lingering virus finally got under control, and he started to feel more energetic.

He sat at the edge of his hospital bed, working on some advanced math problems that Elliot had brought him.

Just as he was deeply engrossed in his work, the door to his room swung open, and a small, pink figure dashed inside.

Careful not to disturb his recovery, Adora gently climbed onto his bed.

She looked at the IV in Asher's arm and immediately began softly blowing on it.

"I'll blow on it for you, Asher. Then it won't hurt anymore."

"It doesn't hurt," Asher replied.

After countless IVs, he was used to the minor pain, and his little arm was numb to it.

Sheena and Elliot were talking to Yosef outside, so Adora took her tablet and started showing Asher a video of her playing with Potato.

Adora eagerly filled him in on everything about Potato at home.

Asher shook his head. "Don't worry, Mom. I don't feel bad anymore. Uncle Yosef said I just need one more day of IVs, and then I can leave."

He disliked the smell of disinfectant here and much preferred being at E&S Haven, even if the tutor there was strict.

Anything was better than staying in the ward.

"Asher, Mommy is arranging our school signup. Next year, we'll start school together," Adora said excitedly.

She looked forward to attending school with Asher, knowing she could do whatever she wanted with his protection.
