"I'll go with you."
Sheena was about to follow Mavis when she noticed Mavis suddenly stopping in her tracks.
Noticing her hesitation, Sheena asked, "What's going on? Tell me the truth."
Mavis could no longer hold up her pent-up emotions, and tears welled up in her eyes as she spilled everything that had happened…
Knowing Mavis was upset and anxious, Sheena held her hand and comforted her, "This isn't your fault."
Mavis nodded and wiped away her tears. "Talking to you makes me feel much better."
Sheena gently poked her on the forehead and said, "Mae, don't be silly! Why didn't you call me? Regardless of how big or small the matter is, you don't have to handle it alone, got it?"
Mavis finally smiled.
"I understand, Sheena. You should head back now."
Sheena still felt uneasy and wanted to stay with her for a while, but Mavis insisted.
Besides, she was also worried about Asher, so she decided to leave.
As soon as she got in the car, Adora jumped on her and asked, "Mommy, what were you talking about with Auntie Mae? I waited so long!"
Sheena playfully replied, "We were talking about you and Asher. Why does Asher act so grown-up while you're like a little monkey, always jumping around?"
Adora pouted. "Mommy, who are you calling a little monkey?"
"Your daddy."
"Yeah, that's right!"
Elliot was the driver for the day, and he had no idea he had just been dubbed the little monkey.
Back at E&S Haven, Elliot took off Asher's wet clothes and tossed them into the washing machine.
Asher stood quietly and let Elliot help him change clothes, feeling a bit down.
"Daddy, am I useless?"
"What do you mean?"

The readers' comments on the novel: Wait, She’s a Billionaire (Sheena Lawson)
The novel is too abusive it spoils the joy of reading it. I hate the punishment part between sheena and Eliot....
