After some thought, Mavis knew she had to take the plunge.
She smiled and nodded, saying, "I want to get… that pill. I want to focus on my career right now, and I'm not ready for kids."
The older woman, Juliana Grimes, gave Mavis a once-over and thought she did not look like an ordinary person.
Juliana replied, "Ah, it's your first time, isn't it? Did your boyfriend tell you that regular pharmacies don't sell those anymore? You need a prescription from a hospital."
"What? A prescription? This is my first time getting them. Can you help me?"
Juliana appeared a bit helpless and conflicted.
Mavis noted Juliana's hesitation and almost gave up.
She recalled her biology lessons. One drunken night should not be enough to get pregnant, right?
Maybe she should take her chances…
Just as she was about to speak, Juliana slapped her thigh and said, "Although it's not ideal, I do know a place that can solve this problem for you. There's no need for a prescription. Just take the pill, and you're good to go."
Even though there was no certainty about her pregnancy, this solution extinguished all her hopes.
She loved children and wanted one of her own, but Nathaniel was not giving her that chance, and she did not want to go through all the unnecessary struggle stubbornly.
With Juliana offering a solution, Mavis's mind was in turmoil.
She nodded, gritted her teeth, and said, "Alright, let's do it. Do you know the place well?"
Juliana looked a bit embarrassed. "I wouldn't say I know it well, but I'm familiar enough. Back in our village, young couples often needed these pills to prevent accidents. There were never any issues, so don't worry."
Mavis nodded. "Alright. Please take me there. This is for your trouble."

The readers' comments on the novel: Wait, She’s a Billionaire (Sheena Lawson)
The novel is too abusive it spoils the joy of reading it. I hate the punishment part between sheena and Eliot....
