"I'm doing well, but I came here to introduce someone to you. This young lady needs an emergency contraceptive pill but doesn't have a prescription, so here she is. Can you help her out? Consider it a favor for this poor girl," Juliana explained.
Vincent looked at Mavis, his gaze lingering on the purse she clutched.
After a long pause, he said. "Juliana, it's against the rules to prescribe medication without a proper prescription. This might be difficult…"
Mavis was getting desperate and blurted out, "I have money. Will this be enough?"
She slapped a thick stack of bills onto the table.
Vincent glanced at Juliana, who gave a subtle nod.
With a sigh, he relented.
"It's not just about the money. Regardless, follow me."
Vincent led Mavis to the pharmacy section and asked, "How long has it been since the encounter? Has it been over forty-eight hours? Was it a failed precaution or an accident?"
Mavis, embarrassed, replied, "It hasn't been over forty-eight hours. There were no precautions, but we were both drunk last night. Will that affect anything?"
Vincent nodded. "Drinking does have an effect, but I can't say how much. Here, take this pill. Just one will do."
Unfamiliar with birth control, Mavis asked in surprise, "Just one pill?"
Vincent chuckled. "How many do you think you need? Ask around, and you'll find that everyone only needs one. Relax, everything will be fine."
Mavis did not respond.
On the way back, she could not stop thinking about it. Her heart felt like it was in her throat, her worry about the possibility of pregnancy weighing heavily on her mind.

The readers' comments on the novel: Wait, She’s a Billionaire (Sheena Lawson)
The novel is too abusive it spoils the joy of reading it. I hate the punishment part between sheena and Eliot....
