Elliot lifted Adora onto his shoulders, letting her ride on his back.
Sheena watched with a mixture of amusement and concern.
"Honey, don't drop her," Sheena warned.
"Don't worry," Elliot reassured her. "Adora loves this kind of excitement. If anyone gets hurt, it won't be her."
Adora's giggles filled the room, her innocent laughter brightening everyone's mood.
…
Later that day, Mildred noticed something was off.
She overheard Mavis in her room, secretly making a phone call to Nathaniel.
It was not intentional eavesdropping, just a matter of timing.
Inside the room, Mavis's tone was different from before.
She was frustrated, pressing Nathaniel with questions. "How long are you going to hide? Are you giving up on the Nicholls family? I've been trying to see you, but you always have an excuse. Nathaniel, I came to Froania for you, but now I'm just really disappointed."
Mavis angrily hung up the phone.
As she turned around, she saw Mildred standing there.
She froze, her phone slipping from her hand and hitting the floor.
The sound jolted her back to reality.
Ten minutes later.
Mavis sat on the couch in the living room, unable to meet Mildred's eyes.
Mildred sensed her unease and gently took her hand.
"Can you tell me what's going on? Maybe I can help. Is he refusing to see you?" Mildred asked.
Mavis hesitated, but she soon nodded.
"That jerk! No matter what's happened, he must give you a proper explanation. What kind of attitude is this? Running away won't solve anything!"

The readers' comments on the novel: Wait, She’s a Billionaire (Sheena Lawson)
The novel is too abusive it spoils the joy of reading it. I hate the punishment part between sheena and Eliot....
