Asking Sheena about it?
Nathaniel nodded. "Don't let anyone at the company know for now. Mavis didn't leave me any options."
Tommy replied, "If I were Mrs. Nicholls, I would've left long ago."
"What do you mean?" Nathaniel's eyes immediately looked up, staring at Tommy.
Tommy explained, "Mr. Nicholls, even though your relationship with Kristen is innocent, no one believes it. Mrs. Nicholls endured too much because of it and was even pushed out of the company. You never intended for her to leave, so why didn't you explain yourself to her?"
Nathaniel was silent for a long time, memories of Mavis flooding his mind.
"I thought she would understand me."
Tommy shook his head. "Mr. Nicholls, you're wrong. Everything needs explaining. No matter how well someone knows you, they can't always guess your thoughts, especially not Mrs. Nicholls. She couldn't be sure who you truly cared about."
Having said his piece, Tommy left.
Nathaniel sat alone at his desk, sinking deep in thought.
…
Meanwhile, Asher's final game was about to begin.
It was the championship match, and Sheena made time to be there with Asher.
Adora, who had returned from winter camp, watched Asher intently, cheering him on with her little fists clenched.
"Go, Asher! Don't be nervous. You're already a winner in my heart!"
Asher chuckled at her words. "Do I look nervous to you?"
Adora pouted, feeling a bit miffed.

The readers' comments on the novel: Wait, She’s a Billionaire (Sheena Lawson)
The novel is too abusive it spoils the joy of reading it. I hate the punishment part between sheena and Eliot....
