Wait, She’s a Billionaire (Sheena Lawson) novel Chapter 1930

Knowing Nathaniel had been truthful, Elliot decided not to continue the pointless questioning and left.

Before he walked out, he asked, "Why haven't I heard from Mavis lately? She's been off the grid."

Nathaniel's blue eyes lit up at the mention of her name, and he quickly asked, "Has she contacted you? Where is she?"

Elliot's expression darkened. "She's your wife, and you're asking me where she is?"

Nathaniel sank back into his chair, defeated.

Elliot glared at him coldly. "Yes, she reached out. She's doing fine, but she didn't disclose her location. Nana has been very busy and hasn't had time to look into Mavis's situation. I suggest you find Mavis before Nana does. Considering your recent behavior, Nana will make sure you don't get to see Adora if she finds out."

With that, Elliot left.

Nathaniel was trapped in a mess.

Mavis was gone, Kristen was dead, and everything seemed to have changed.

Tommy entered the study, holding a phone.

"Mr. Nicholls, there's a call for you."

Nathaniel took the phone, surprised to hear Declan's voice.

"Nathaniel."

"It's you."

"I called to ask if you admit that the Nicholls family, including you, are a curse. Everyone involved with the Nicholls family ends up in trouble. Kristen died because of you. How can you live with yourself?"

Nathaniel responded calmly, "She did die because of me, but it was your men who killed her. If you're looking to blame someone, you've got the wrong person."

"It's all your fault! Ever since Kristen met you, she wasn't the same obedient girl. If she hadn't known you, she wouldn't have died protecting you. Even your death won't be enough to repay for what you've done! She won't come back! Never!"

Nathaniel laughed, remembering how Declan had treated Kristen before she died.

"You tied her up, burned her with cigarettes, beat and abused her. It was only a matter of time before she rebelled. Now that she's dead, you're blaming me? You're the very definition of shameless."
