Wait, She’s a Billionaire (Sheena Lawson) novel Chapter 1932

"How's Mavis doing?" Sheena asked anxiously.

"It's hard to say," Elliot replied.

"And Nathaniel?"

"Also hard to say."

Sheena sighed, clearly frustrated with Elliot's answers.

She spun around and pinched his cheek, scolding, "Can you just tell me straight? If you keep this up, I might just punish you."

The playful struggle ensued.

Despite his professional training and ability to fight back, Elliot knew better than to resist Sheena's 'playful affection'.

He allowed Sheena to pinch his cheek.

Sheena knew Elliot would let her have her way, and soon, her actions turned into a gentle caress, her gaze softening.

Holding Sheena's slim waist, Elliot felt his throat tighten, and his gaze grew more intense.

Sheena sensed the shift and tried to slip away, but Elliot quickly scooped her up and laid her on the bed.

Sheena crossed her arms and gave him a stern look.

"No, you need to explain everything clearly right now, or you won't get any dinner."

Elliot gave in.

He adjusted his clothes as he recounted his meeting with Nathaniel from the previous day but omitted any mention of Mavis.

"Seems like Mavis isn't in a good place right now," Sheena concluded. "I need to find time to check on her."

Realizing he could no longer keep the truth from her, Elliot said, "You shouldn't go. Even Nathaniel doesn't know where Mavis is right now."

"What do you mean?"

"Mavis probably ran away, and no one knows where she is. You really shouldn't ask about it. Matters of the heart need to be resolved by the people involved."

Elliot went over the details once more.

Finally understanding the situation better, Sheena was upset and huffed, "Nathaniel really needs to get his act together."

"Exactly. The issues are his doing, so he needs to sort them out himself. Try not to bring him up in front of Mavis. She's probably not in the best frame of mind, so let her be for now."

Sheena nodded in agreement.

On the beach, the fishermen worked diligently.
