Mavis was stunned and quickly pushed the door open, not expecting Nathaniel to block it with his hand.

His fingers were visibly twitching, yet he stubbornly held onto the doorframe.

Unable to deal with him, Mavis turned her eyes away. "Have I not been clear enough? You're the CEO of the Nicholls Group, a powerful man, and certainly not lacking in women. I've moved on. Why do you keep clinging to me?"

Nathaniel swallowed his pain and kept his voice steady.

"Who is the father of this child?"

Mavis's expression froze.
