Wait, She’s a Billionaire (Sheena Lawson) novel Chapter 1969

Since Nathaniel offered to help, Ella did not reject him.

She pointed to the cows nearby and said, "That cow just gave birth to a calf. If you're up for it, help care for the calf. They get very cold, so make sure to bring a blanket."

Nathaniel was taken aback.

He had thought she was asking him to milk the cow, not care for the calf.

With no experience even with pets, he was at a loss.

He stood there dumbfounded.

Finally, he managed to ask, "How do I take care of the calf? Do I need to rock it to sleep?"

Ella was caught off guard by his question, but she resisted the urge to tease him.

It was clear that Nathaniel was quite egoistical, and it was already a big step for him to be doing this for Mavis.

"No, you don't need to rock the calf to sleep. Newborn calves will be slightly dirty and have some of their mother's blood on them. I need you to get a bucket of water and clean that calf up. Because it's cold, use the blankets and cover it up after cleaning. Otherwise, the calf might catch a cold and get sick."

Understanding now, Nathaniel nodded and set off to follow her instructions.

He thought it would be simple enough to just clean the calf.

However, as he approached the cow, he was almost overwhelmed by the strong, pungent odor.

He had to brace himself against the unpleasant smell and entered the pen.

The calf was nursing beside its mother.

When the cow saw a stranger approaching, it let out a loud warning sound.

Though he could not speak the cow's language, Nathaniel could guess it was a warning to keep his distance.

Trying to soothe the cow, he said, "I'm here to give your baby a bath. Don't be afraid."

Troy, the bodyguard, watched Nathaniel from the side and struggled to hold back his laughter.

Once the cow seemed to tolerate Nathaniel, he cautiously approached, gently picking up one of the calves and carefully wiping it down with a clean towel.

Just then, the cow went wild, charging at him.

Nathaniel's reflexes were quick, and he managed to dodge the cow's attack, though he still ended up with some milk stains on his clothes.
