Nathaniel remained silent, letting the doctor and Troy help him back to the sofa.
He seemed sad, and a little lost in thought.
For some reason, he had a sinking feeling in his gut.
With everything laid bare, he worried that Mavis might slip away again to avoid him.
To prevent that, he turned to Troy and ordered, "Arrange for a few bodyguards to ensure Mrs. Nicholls' safety and make sure she doesn't leave the estate without permission."
Though it was framed as protection, Troy understood it was really surveillance, meant to keep Mavis from disappearing again.
"Understood. I'll take care of it."
Ella was too focused on assisting the doctor with Nathaniel's tetanus shot to notice the underlying tone of his instructions.
As a guest at the estate, she could not afford to have Nathaniel severely injured.
Ella helped the doctor set up the examination tools and perform the routine checks before the injection.
Fortunately, Nathaniel's injury was just a surface wound.
Despite the alarming appearance, it was merely a cut, not affecting the bones, so one shot should suffice.
However, regardless of the injury's severity, recovery would still require nourishment.
Dedicated to his duties, Troy brought Nathaniel lunch around noon.
Nathaniel had no appetite and refused to eat.
Before locating Mavis, his eating schedule had already been messed up, and the recent news only worsened it.
Troy was at a loss and looked to Ella for assistance.
After escorting the doctor out, Ella checked on Nathaniel and noticed Troy's plea for help.
"If you don't eat, you won't have the energy to help Mavis. You need to heal quickly so Mavis can have a bit of a break."

The readers' comments on the novel: Wait, She’s a Billionaire (Sheena Lawson)
The novel is too abusive it spoils the joy of reading it. I hate the punishment part between sheena and Eliot....
