Wait, She’s a Billionaire (Sheena Lawson) novel Chapter 2019

The bodyguard quietly observed the situation inside the room and reported in a hushed tone, "Mr. Nicholls hasn't moved. He seems to be in a daze, and Mr. Callum is still crying."

Mildred's heart tightened with worry.

Despite the door being closed, they could clearly hear Callum's cries.

Struggling to resist the urge to burst into the room and retrieve the baby, Mildred analyzed the situation.

"Did I speak too quickly, and Nathaniel didn't catch what I said?"

The bodyguard thought about it and nodded. "It's possible."

Mildred was at a loss.

What could she do?

Could she somehow undo what she had said and go back to explain it again to Nathaniel?

Mildred scolded herself for being careless and felt deeply that she had not done a good job.

Suddenly, the bodyguard whispered, "Mr. Nicholls has moved! Madam Nicholls, Mr. Nicholls is getting out of bed holding Mr. Callum!"

Mildred's anxiety spiked. "He'd better hold Callum carefully. Nathaniel hasn't been eating properly for days. His arms might be weak. I can't let him drop my precious Callum!"

The bodyguard added, "Mr. Nicholls is still holding Mr. Callum with one hand."

Mildred nearly jumped out of her skin. "One hand? How can he manage with just one hand? If he can't even take care of himself, how can he take care of Callum? I knew this was a terrible idea!"

Mildred paced back and forth outside the room, and her frustration intensified as she regretted her poor choice of actions.

A couple of minutes later, the bodyguard reported with some relief, "Madam Nicholls, don't worry. It seems Mr. Nicholls is looking for the bag with the bottle and formula. Mr. Callum has also stopped crying. Mr. Callum probably thinks Mr. Nicholls' way of holding him is fun."

Mildred sighed repeatedly. "The bottle and formula are in the bag, and there's a big label on it. I even organized it into a separate bag. How can he not find it? Is he blind?"

A few minutes later, the bodyguard excitedly announced, "Mr. Nicholls has found the bag!"

Mildred rubbed her forehead. "If finding a bottle is this difficult for him, he certainly won't be able to handle mixing formula. I hope Callum doesn't end up with an upset stomach."
