The men finally turned their attention to Asher, approaching him with a threatening stance.
Asher remained calm and raised his left hand. "I have a medical condition and can't handle your sedatives. Plus, I'm wearing a health monitoring device. If I fall unconscious, the device will automatically alert the police."
The men exchanged puzzled looks, and the leader narrowed his eyes.
"What are you trying to say?"
Asher pointed to the unconscious Callum slung over one of the men's shoulders.
"I'm with this kid. If you're taking him somewhere, take me too."
The men were baffled.
It was unusual for someone to willingly want to be kidnapped.
Was this kid not all there?
To be safe, they pulled out some rope and quickly tied Asher's hands before taking both him and Callum away.
The unmarked van silently drove out of the park and headed toward the outskirts.
After walking a significant distance, they reached an old, abandoned building.
Asher was getting tired, so the kidnappers carried him up to the rooftop as they were afraid he might actually pass out.
The sun was setting, painting the sky red.
Asher sat on the edge of the rooftop, with Callum still unconscious beside him.
The kidnappers huddled and smoked in a corner, quietly discussing their plans.
Asher started coughing from the smell of the smoke, and he was getting annoyed.
A few minutes later, the leader of the kidnappers approached Asher with disbelief.
He crouched before him and asked, "I called to verify your identity. Are you really the Asher Jenkins?"

The readers' comments on the novel: Wait, She’s a Billionaire (Sheena Lawson)
The novel is too abusive it spoils the joy of reading it. I hate the punishment part between sheena and Eliot....
