Within twenty minutes of Asher and Callum's disappearance, the bodyguards at the kindergarten entrance realized something was wrong.
They quickly alerted Elliot and Nathaniel.
However, Nathaniel was made aware of the situation earlier as he received a text message from the kidnappers.
[Both Callum and Asher are in my hands. If you want them back alive, bring 150 million in cash to the abandoned building in the western suburbs. Lot 23. Come alone and don't alert the National Investigation Bureau or you'll receive one of your precious son's fingers first.]
Nathaniel's face darkened as he read the message, his eyes burning with rage.
He slammed his hand on the desk, scattering papers everywhere.
Within a minute, he received a call from an unknown number.
The person mocked, "Mr. Nicholls, have you decided?"
Nathaniel gritted his teeth, barely containing his anger.
"If you lay even a finger on them, I'll torture so bad that you wish you were dead."
It was not an empty threat. Elliot would surely explode with rage if Asher were harmed.
The caller laughed dismissively.
"Bring 150 million dollars, come alone, and keep the National Investigation Bureau off my back. If you can't do it, I'll kill you son."
Nathaniel's arms tensed, veins bulging as he fought to control his anger.
He forced himself to stay calm and negotiated, "The banks are closed at this hour. I can't withdraw that much cash, and it's too heavy to transport alone."
The caller scoffed. "Mr. Nicholls, you're a big shot in Svelton. Surely this is a minor inconvenience for you. You have one hour. If I don't see you and the money, I'll choose one of them at random and throw them off the building. The choice is yours."
The call ended abruptly.

The readers' comments on the novel: Wait, She’s a Billionaire (Sheena Lawson)
The novel is too abusive it spoils the joy of reading it. I hate the punishment part between sheena and Eliot....
