In the small kitchen, Nathaniel was dressed in the shirt and pants from the night before, with a black apron tied around his waist,
Mavis stared in shock as she watched Nathaniel focus on cooking.
It was a scene straight out of a movie, so beautiful that it felt too good to be true.
Nathaniel… actually learned how to cook?
He seemed to have changed a lot compared to five years ago, becoming much more like a father.
This little apartment suddenly felt warm, almost like a cozy home for a family of three.
A smart and adorable son, a handsome and considerate husband, living a simple and peaceful life together…
What was she thinking?
Imagining Nathaniel as a good husband?
A womanizer was far from being a decent man.
While she was lost in thought, Nathaniel plated the last dish and set it on the table. Then, he slowly removed the apron and pulled out a chair for Callum.
"Breakfast is ready."
His deep, steady voice carried the same commanding tone it always did.
Mavis snapped back to reality and took her seat at the table.
Fried eggs, toasted bread, tomato and ham pasta, milk…
Nathaniel had prepared quite a spread for breakfast.
She sat there awkwardly, not yet touching her food.
"D-Did you go out early this morning just to buy all this?"
"Yes," Nathaniel answered casually, sipping his black coffee as his gaze settled on her. "Would you like milk or coffee?"
"Milk is fine, thank you."
Nathaniel poured her a glass of warm milk and handed it to her with natural ease.
Compared to Nathaniel's calm demeanor, Mavis felt a bit out of place having breakfast with her son for the first time in years.
She found a random topic and asked, "Were your clothes already dried when you woke up?"

The readers' comments on the novel: Wait, She’s a Billionaire (Sheena Lawson)
The novel is too abusive it spoils the joy of reading it. I hate the punishment part between sheena and Eliot....
