Wait, She’s a Billionaire (Sheena Lawson) novel Chapter 2128

Mavis glared at Nathaniel, and her hands clenched into tight fists.

"He has nothing to do with this, so don't go hurting innocent people."

Nathaniel's tone was calm, but the cold glint in his eyes made her blood run cold, as if he was on the edge of doing something drastic.

"He doesn't want me to hurt you, and now you're asking me not to hurt him. The two of you really are in sync, looking out for each other."

Despite her anger and the tears threatening to spill, Mavis could not help but take a small step back, feeling intimidated by his menacing aura.

However, she still stood her ground.

"Think whatever you want, but I don't think you'd want Callum to know that his father is a man who enjoys using power to hurt others."

Nathaniel laughed.

"You think I'm going to kidnap Evan, kill him, and toss him into the ocean? He's halfway across the world. I'm not about to stretch that far. But I've been looking into his family. His parents are working-class, and he's got a sister working as an accountant at some big company. Might be interesting to see if she's made any mistakes that could land her in trouble."

"They're all honest people! Don't drag them into this!"

Nathaniel's eyes darkened further. "So, you've met his family? Planning your next steps with that new identity of yours in Vraeyce? Maybe even discussing wedding plans?"

Mavis was at a loss for words.

His imagination was beyond ridiculous!

"If they're as honest as you say, they have nothing to fear. That's not your problem to worry about."

He shot her a cold look before turning to leave.

Frustrated, Mavis called after him, "What do I have to do to get you to leave Evan and his family alone?"

Nathaniel paused, glanced back over his shoulder, and said, "That depends on how you behave."

Mavis felt a surge of fury as he walked away, her fists pounding against the wall in helpless frustration.
