Mavis relented and took the keys.
She immediately walked out the door, eager to escape the suffocating atmosphere.
Every extra second she spent in that room made her more uncomfortable.
Troy was waiting outside the ward, and he flashed a bright smile.
"Mrs. Nicholls, hand me the keys. I'll be your driver today."
His attitude was overly polite, but Mavis was not in the mood for chit-chat.
Since the car was a two-seater, Mavis had no choice but to sit in the passenger seat.
Troy hurried over to open the door for her, saying, "After you, Mrs. Nicholls."
Mavis muttered a quick thanks and slid into the seat.
The luxury car quickly pulled out of the hospital parking lot.
On the road, Troy could not help but marvel, "Mrs. Nicholls, thanks to you, I finally get to drive this car."
Mavis glanced at him curiously. "Nathaniel doesn't usually drive this car?"
Troy chuckled. "He used to, especially when you were around. But after you left for those five years, he hardly touched it. He only started driving it again recently when you came back."
The more Mavis listened, the more puzzled she became.
Nathaniel drove whatever car he wanted. It had nothing to do with her.
Why was Troy making it sound like it was all because of her?
Troy sighed and added, "For most married men, the passenger seat is reserved for their wives. After everyone thought you were gone, he never drove this car again. He stuck to the backseat of his business cars."
Mavis did not buy it.
With Nathaniel's reputation for being a playboy, there was no way no other woman had ever sat in his car's passenger seat.
Though she found it ridiculous, she could not help but ask, "What about Tiffany? She's never been in this car?"
Troy laughed. "Ms. Sullivan hasn't even touched the door handle of this car, let alone sat in it. Her feelings for Mr. Nicholls are one-sided. He finds her exhausting."
So, Tiffany's feelings were not mutual.

The readers' comments on the novel: Wait, She’s a Billionaire (Sheena Lawson)
The novel is too abusive it spoils the joy of reading it. I hate the punishment part between sheena and Eliot....
