Brooklyn mocked, "Don't try to sweet-talk me. If your parents were willing to accept me, they would have done it by now. You rich snobs look down on me because of my poor background. Well, guess what? I look down on you too."
"Brooklyn, you can take your anger out on me, but don't talk about my parents like that," Adora retorted.
"I'll say what I want. What are you going to do about it? You wouldn't dare leave me! Don't forget, Adora, I got injured because of you. You ruined my career, and you have no right to talk about leaving me. Look at what I've become because of you. Do you know how much I've suffered for you?"
Callum's face turned grim when he realized Adora was losing ground in the fight. He could not stand to listen anymore and kicked the door forcefully twice.
Brooklyn's angry voice quickly followed, "Who is it?"
Callum lowered his voice, pretending, "It's the building management. We've received noise complaints. Open up. I need to check the situation."
The door opened within two minutes.
Adora answered the door and was surprised to see the tall figure standing at the door.
"Beanie, why are you here?"
Callum had already removed his mask, and his gaze fell on her reddened eyes as he stormed into the apartment, anger evident in his demeanor.
Brooklyn was sitting on the couch, smoking a cigarette.
The floor was a mess, covered in shattered glass.
"Well, well, if it isn't Callum," Brooklyn said, suddenly emboldened. He beckoned to Adora, asserting his claim, "Babe, come here."
As Adora started to move toward Brooklyn, Callum grabbed her wrist and pulled her behind him.
"Callum, she's my girlfriend. What gives you the right to interfere in our business?" Brooklyn challenged.

The readers' comments on the novel: Wait, She’s a Billionaire (Sheena Lawson)
The novel is too abusive it spoils the joy of reading it. I hate the punishment part between sheena and Eliot....
