"I'm fine. Go ahead. I'll sit here for a bit longer," Mavis said, still dizzy.
With no reason to stay, Tommy swiftly left the company.
Mavis glanced at the CEO's office closed blinds and thought Nathaniel must have left already.
After resting a little while more, Mavis felt slightly better and was ready to go home.
Back at the Nicholls residence, she found Nathaniel sitting on the couch, chatting and laughing with Gabrielle.
The moment he saw her, his smile vanished.
Mavis scoffed and went upstairs without a word.
She did not even come down for dinner.
"Nate…" Gabrielle started, hoping to understand what was going on.
However, Nathaniel's expression instantly turned grim, and immediately headed upstairs, leaving Gabrielle without a chance to ask her questions.
Gabrielle was left frustrated.
What was going on between them?
They planned to go on a date not too long ago, yet their relationship seemed strained since they returned from Gurenchti.
The next day at work, Mavis and Nathaniel went to work as usual.
However, their couple's non-existent interaction and cold demeanor were evident to everyone at the Nicholls residence, casting a gloomy atmosphere over the mansion.
After they left for work, Gabrielle turned to Marius, who was still eating.
"Marius, what do you think happened between them? I'm going crazy trying to figure it out."
Marius calmly tore off a piece of bread and replied, "Why are you so worked up? It's their personal matter. You're more anxious than they are."
"Cut it out. I'm just concerned about our family. Not everyone is as detached as you. Just wait until Grandma gets back. I'll tell her everything."

The readers' comments on the novel: Wait, She’s a Billionaire (Sheena Lawson)
The novel is too abusive it spoils the joy of reading it. I hate the punishment part between sheena and Eliot....
